Car Pool Log: 2006 06-02

Silver BMW with black leather interior. A golf ball on top of pens in the divide, papers in the backseat with a leather jacket. Driver was drinking out of a Peaberry’s Coffee and Tea 12 ounce cup (hex! hex! - *vampire hiss*). Second Passenger was pretty chatty. They spoke of the weather, the difference between taking buses back and forth versus BART. Second Passenger relayed the history of Bay Area carpooling. She used to take car pool by the Grand Lake Theater. AC Transit used to call the police on them, angry that they were taking away passengers. They made that area a red zone so when cars picked people up they would be ticketed. They spoke of how taking car pool from San Francisco to Oakland was different. Second Passenger said that started after the earthquake when BART was out of commission and the buses back to the East Bay were so packed. AM radio 810.
